This section of the website contains definitions of terms commonly used in health physics and radiation protection.  It is designed to give both the novice and the radiation professional easy access to the terms listed here.  The majority of the definitions in the following pages are taken directly from the North Carolina Regulations for Protection Against Radiation (15A NCAC 11).
